History

1958
In 1958 two fellow students Georg Kieferle and Karl-Otto Rödl founded their architectural practice in Boeblingen, Germany. The dynamic duo earned early recognition in winning numerous competition entries for cultural, governmental, and commercial projects.
1965
The Firm grew into one of the leading architectural Practices in Germany by successfully planning and designing various types of built spaces for many renowned clients. Projects were ranging from housing, to commercial, industrial and administrative / computing centres for i.e. Beiersdorf, Fairchild, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Bosch, Daimler-Benz AG, etc.
1975
Recession hit Germany and amidst the peak of the oil crisis the duo ventured out to Saudi Arabia. The oil price surge of 1977 triggered an ultimate construction boom within the Kingdom and Riyadh was till 1986 referred to as “the world’s biggest construction site in Human History”. This construction wave led to major commissions in both master planning and architecture. Similar to nowadays projects where designed and build in record times and the company literally developed cities primarily for the government with Build Up Areas commencing at a 100,000 sq. m.s up.
1982
In 1982 , Kieferle and Partner won its biggest commission so far the Jamjoom Centre in Jeddah, a Mixed-Use Development comprising of a Mall and Commercial Office Component, Residences and what was back then planned to be one of InterContinental Hotels & Resorts’ first properties in the Kingdom.
1989
The reunification of East and West Germany led to a construction boom throughout the country. A new office was established in Berlin working on a broad array of commercial and residential commissions such as the iconic “Twin Towers” in Berlin Treptow.
2005
In 2005 Kieferle & Partner committed further to the GCC by opening a branch office in Dubai led and managed by Cornelia Kieferle. As a first project the office was awarded the contract for the DAFZA Headquarter after submitting a winning competition entry.
2016
The Dubai branch office established itself very successfully throughout the GCC winning large scale commissions such as the landmark project “Jewel of the Creek” with a planned built up area of over 1,000,000 Million sqm. 2016 saw the topping out of the first five Luxury Hospitality Towers in presence of Sheikh Saeed Bin Hamdan Al Maktoum.
2020
In 2016 his royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman announced his fore fronting Vision 2030 for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the launch of NEOM - Kieferle & Partner was awarded the Master Plans for two of the Constructíon Cities setting the stepping stones for its initial execution.
